Auto move future membership during freeze of previous membership

when client wants to freeze an active membership for a member. it get freeze. in case if the member has active and future membership than while making freeze of active membership it gives overlap issue. then they need to edit start date of future membership and then again do the freeze. Client has raised a feedback change of future date should be automatically updated by the software. as manually increase their efforts
